I have experience with these things. They're very neat. Unfortunately the one in the video is in quite a state of disrepair. I have some videos of much better rail dumpers, but unfortunately I think some clients would get upset if I uploaded them.

What will really blow your mind is the larger units that are designed to rotate about the coupling on the rail cars. Why? Because a lot of rail cars use couplings THAT CAN SWIVEL. That allows you to shift the train forward (usually two cars at a time) and unload rail cars without uncoupling them.

I'd say that not only is the first one in need of work it is also more crudely designed and constructed.
