Nothing ugly about this modification. I think a series different length extensions for the same c-clamp ends would be very handy in the shop.

The C-clamp I started with was ugly not the modification!

Wow, good idea! Really this is one of those "slap the forehead and exclaim 'Why Didn't I Think Of That?' things".
Turns out that "Why didn't I think of that" is actually a recognized phenomenon involving a cognitive bias called Hindsight bias, and specific instances like this can be referred to as an "Egg of Columbus". More info: https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/...435#post101751
And, by reversing each C-clamp piece on the stretcher bar, one has an extended pusher "clamp" with no additional investment of time or material.
