Nice, simple solution. I've been taking the caps to my band saw and making a couple cuts just deep enough that I can remote the outer cap and keep the inner cap that screws onto the bottle.
You can use the same screw over and over or use the same cap over and over...
Why go to all the trouble? just a couple drops of super glue or even fingernail polish between the inner and outer caps at the rim and they are bonded for ever just be sure and let dry before putting it back on the bottle

Like you, I remove the outer cap and use the one that does the real sealing. I too had used a saw but I discovered that if I used my Xuron sharp tip wire cutters to put two opposed cuts in the rim of the outer cap I could snap it in half with my fingers, releasing the inner cap.Quote:

I have used hot glue on these caps. All the solutions are interesting and proves that not all that many children are around all over.
