not sure about this one - the grey plastic is almost destroyed before the metal wings are fully deployed, and even then they don't contact the back surface of the wall. I would think with the forces invovled, it would simply destroy plasterboard (noted they demonstrated it in plywood) if used there.
I think the hollow metal ones where the wings fold back and touch the wall over a larger area are the better option based on being able to fully expand in plasterboard without sinking the board, and the wings dig into the board enough to prevent rotation.
happy to be wrong, but that demonstration seems to only work on the principle of expanding radially within the hole, rather than due to the metal wings spreading the load over a broader area... a glorified masonary plug.
