Typical of many African ports where the ships use their own cranes to load/unload cargos.
So the ropes are in place when they load the ship?
It looks like many smaller bundles were loaded then unloaded by picking up several of these smaller bundles at the same time by their original loading ropes.Originally Posted by Ralphxyz

I was thinking that if one of those ship sank on the high seas a huge part of the population might starve before another ship could be sent.
