oh **** I almost had a heart attack reading that!!!
So, the lasso is heating up?
The elastic needs winding?
My sister, when she was young, was convinced our brother's Beetle had a windup key. That would have been the 1960s when all the dash labels were in German.
VW's attracted lots of aftermarket stuff; only some were serious. One novelty I recall was a big ol' stick on wind-up key. The performance parts [ie EMPI ] were far more effective. Amazing what a little Yankee re-engineering could wring from motors less than 2000cc's.
Seeing later posts, mainly recalling dual carb 1875's, holey moley. Tractable and those really ran.
less than 2000 cc?? I wont build one that small....waste of time and $$
You would never make it in class 11 off-road racing. 1600cc, 24mm carb...
your right! Im more of the unlimited class guy..
I'd hire the guy carrying the wheelbarrow in two heartbeats. He may be dumb as a box of rocks (or he may just have a flat tire, IDK) but it's pretty obvious he'll work his ass off to get the job done. It'd be easier to teach him brain surgery than it would to teach a lazy man to work that hard.
