using drill press to extend lathe

Today I needed to polish the outside of a tube that was longer than any of my lathes currently under power.
Since I only required a low RPM and was not turning it down the logical choice was the smallest lathe in my shop the 12/36 Atlas/Craftsman mostly because it is situated near my drill press and I could use the vice on it as my tail stock.

Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products
