    Vacuum Sealing Freezer Ziploc Bags

If you own a vacuum sealer, you are well aware of the cost of those single-use bags. If the food being sealed is of high value, then the bag is justified. But if you want to be able to remove some of the contents periodically, this gets expensive. A freezer Ziploc bag is easy to seal and later open but is not designed to be vacuum sealed. Pay a bit more and you can get resealable vacuum bags but the cost just keeps going up.

Using materials you have in hand, you can now vacuum seal a freezer Ziploc bag.

Clever! I'll be using that. I have some .0035" teflon tape I can use.

    Don,

Nice tape. I wonder if it would help to put it both on the inside and outside of the bag.
