Velorex leather-bodied 3-wheeler - photo and video
-
another eyecatcher for Noosa's roundabouts= NOT.
This one would also be cruel to my arthritis/ circulation. Sound like my old 60s lawn mower or seagull.
Cheers

They would save a lot of trouble in a prang, just sew up the corners for an instant body-bag.
-
The sad thing is it wasn't a one off there were several of the noisy things.
the stretched leather wasn't a bad idea though. in the event of like was stated a prang other than leather getting ripped and needing sewn up body work on one of the things would only entail some tubular straightening or replacement,
Of course there is the body bag thing, that works too.

I expected to see the lady with the dog put goggles on the dog and slip him into a side car attacher to her Velorex.

That is one vehicle I wouldn't want to own.
When were they made and do they still build them?

Son of a gun! Though he was swapping 6 cylinder motors, those ran well too. I liked the trick to check mixture vs head temp with a infrared thermometer. Not to mention rather extreme modifications he's capable of...watching head sectioning sequence, he put the remnant on a crowded shelf; instantly reminded of Burt Munro and his shelves, "Offerings to the God of Speed"
Gawd, do I miss riding.
