Very nice work Chris, I have watched many of your videos and always enjoyed them.
Our toolmakers would use an indexing carriage stop using spacer blocks for setting, in fact the topslide was clamped up tight for rigidity, once you get used to working this way it is hard to go back, my topslide now lives in the cabinet and only used for tapers etc. I have instead a solid block post on my crosslide.Posted here. http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/t...1568#post74667
