    Vice attachment to grip tapers

    I am prompted to post this simple device for holding tapered objects in the vice, having recently seen a post on this forum of a vice which was designed specifically to hold tapers. The post showed a tapered rasp or float that the vice held. Which is what mine is doing here.

    The device is made from a piece of angle iron with a piece of short round bar welded to it, and this provides the fulcrum.
