I own several and my favorite is the one with the thumb hold up front like yours Frank.

It holds the blade true, and tight the frame never flexes so cuts can be made with machine quality.
I tend to be as particular about the way it gets used as I am with my files.

One of the first tools I ever bought new was one of these branded as Lenox Hackmaster. I'll be honest that the name was part of the reason that I bought it. I've since bought a second one used that has a thumbscrew instead of a fold-out crank.
