Looks more like white gas, or Coleman fuel to me. IIRC, the mantle has a bit of thorium in it. Should be mildly radioactive.

Usually paraffin (https://www.nationwidefuels.co.uk/oi...sene-paraffin/) in Petromax HK500 lamps, that's a copy with spirit pre-heat burning, genuine Petromax's have a built in blowtorch fast pre-heater see my bio-pic for more...
