I would not trust those small welds! There are a lot more surfaces that you could easily weld to make it overly safe.

i use those scissor jacks to raise up the floor in my old house,works great,, too much weight will ruin the threads,did that fixing a flat on a single axle trailer that was loaded,..they do make larger ones for one ton trucks here in the USA, mine has a 2:1 gear reduction.keep it in my 1/2 ton 4X4,slow to use,but will lift anything i need it too.

It is not only the welds I do not trust, the rest of the structure is not robust either. That jack would probably safely have lifted about 400kg? My vice can compress 1500kg. Instead of that handle that gets in the way all the time, fit a hex nut and use a portable drill to operate the contraption. Quicker and strong enough.
but I did not put more welding, because I use it for vise and here I do not need much effort
