I like it. 3 planes of clamping is a good addition to a bench mounted medium size vise, though I rate laying to side outranks tilting forward.
In any case, a lot of extra sturdiness is available when positioned normally, yet often overlooked; the stationary jaw should be in-plane/ plumb with bench edge it is mounted on.
