It's not like people leave too many parasitic energy draining devices connected all the time already not realizing why their electric bill keeps going up, now they will want a lighted cover plate on every duplex receptacle in the house to automatically turn on every time the room get dark enough to activate the sensor. Crazy, what ever happened to lights out at bedtime who needs lights while they are sleeping
I bought about a dozen of these things a few years ago and gave them away as stocking stuffers for Christmas. I didn't install any in my house. A light on all the time would drive me nuts. Frank makes a good point, but these only consume 0.1 watts. Pretty tiny. That's less than 10 cents per year to operate.
