    WASHING MACHINE MOTOR WIRING

In this video we can learn how to wire a washing machine motor to work with AC or DC current. 6 cables come out from the motor. Two of them that come from the bottom are for rpm measurement and we don't use them. Two cables come from the brushes and have 2.5-4 Ohm resistance between them. The other two come from the coil and have a similar resistance between them. To work first we connect one cable from one brush with one of the coil and give the AC or DC current to the other two (other brush and other coil). To change the direction of the rotation we first join the cable of the coil with the other brush or the cable of the brush to the other coil.We can use these motors for making a belt grinder ,a sand grinder , small wood lathe etc.
