in the mid 70s while stationed in Germany I took my wife and daughter to Holland where in one of the cities we found the Eindhoven science museum lots of back then futuristic stuff you would think couldn't possibly exist projected holograms that followed people around real enough you could almost imagine someone was actually standing there talking to you. more like talking at you though. Dancing water that appeared to be gravity defying, realistically live animated dinosaurs. Too much fascinating things to list even if I could remember them all. Never knew about this place in SF. the few times I've been there it was get there, unload and leave as fast as I could. I was about 15 miles from the epicenter of the quake that brought down several over passes I think was in 90 or 91
