I wonder what position that is in the professional welder's certification practical test. I've got to say (on the twentieth viewing) he doesn't look uncomfortable, though!

You have to be qualified for limited access, used to be called the Arkansas Bell hole. You had to section in a 6" pipe nipple on a horizontal 12" pipe 6 inches from a wall and 6inches down from the ceiling, root hot pass and cap were all done uphill.
