Great idea and good video, I am going to try this as my welding needs all the help it can get.
Thanks Tony! This is one of those why didn't I think of it sort of things. I've certainly have suffered from the embarrassment of running a bead completely off the groove so to speak. Sometimes this is in the middle of the day outside so maybe this will not help my old eyes much, but I need to try something.
For a similar need I bought one of these magnifier visors with an attached light and I have to say "Why didn't I do this long ago?".

Mine helps close machining too (I watch for oils and fluids getting onto the lenses), and it improves my layouts and drilling holes.
