Those baby excavators appear out of nowhere. I know one case of digging a basement under a long completed home, with the smaller yet versions.
Someone thought outside of common restraints; likely a small operation with limited resources and lower customer cost.
Efficiency is a great selling point.
Me thinks it's been put in the bin to stop some ar-ehole stealing it.
The first photo shows another "harder to start" vehicle, parked right up tight to the removable tailgate.
The bin is actually a 'tip body' from a truck, might even be one of the fancy ones that can be slid of the back of the truck on rails.
If you hadn’t lifted it, no doubt some passer-by would’ve, unless it had been secured!
