WHat are these holes for?

Well, as I recall, some of the earlier saw manufacturers had accessory kits for their saws. There was one that you could mount a sabre saw under the table and another was for a rotary hole saw when they first showed up on the scene. There may have been a router kit too, but that doesn't seem like a particularly great solution, but we all know that solutions aren't always that great anyway. Hope that helps a little with the mystery!
