Same problem addressed architecturally. Aesthetically appealing, but not sure if dangerous. Robson Square. Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

A whole lot less dangerous than that tracked wheelchair contraption if a gear breaks or those cylinders lose pressure while climbing steps.
