That happened to me once, our braizing hearth at work had two full size acetylene and oxygen bottles. After finishing a braizing job I turned to shut off the valves and got the torch too close before the flame had completely died, had the same flare up as the video.
I beat the flames out with a glove and when I looked round the shop everyone was outside. Obviously not my time to go either.
It was found that one of the gauges was leaking.
Not sure what he was fixin' to use that torch on. Paper towel on the floor. Probably making his YouTube plumbing video. :D
You mean this isn't the approved method for identifying leaking valves?
