Nice work, need to be wearing gloves when using acetone as well. Absorption through the skin can cause all kinds of problems. Had never heard of gassing wood with ammonia. Neat trick. Looing forward to part three.

Probably true on the acetone but i worry more about handling the ammonia. With that being said, so far I have not had issue and it is a very cool process. Deep in the wood too. You can remove wood a 1/4" deep and see no change in color. In part three I'll be adding the oil finish which really makes the wood an amazingly rich brown color.
