    I use to live in Michigan as a kid it did not occur to me strap on my swim shorts and plunge into a snow bank.

    We used to ski a lot in winter. When visiting Colorado, after a long day on the mountain, we used to sit in the sauna for a bit, then go outside and jump into the fresh snow. The out of the snow into the pool, then back into the sauna. It was very invigorating to say the least. I was 50 years younger then, if I did it now, I am not sure my body could take it. As most of you know, when you are young, you feel pretty much "bullet proof".
