    Work Holding Hand Vise

Another older project that is quite useful in the shop is this hand vise.
Made from 1018 steel, one hardened pin, and a bit of brass.
I use it more than I thought I would. Holds round, square, nuts, bolts, screws etc.

A variation on the hand vise is the hand chuck. Made from a piece of 1018
steel and an old chuck from an old drill motor. Great for grinding the heads on bolts
and at times cleaning up the ends of threaded rod. Better for round items than
the hand vise which is better for square, hex, or flat stock.

The lower item is a "chuck" for holding bolts by the head and cleaning up cut off ends of same.
It is all unknownAluminum stock. Extra head shown is not finished yet. Waiting for the need.

    Cheers, JR
