I think they were used in WW2 also

Had flechette rounds in the first gulf war too. About the size of small nails.

So that’s where the idea for Lawn Darts came from!

"The Meat Grinder"? The Carl Gustaf 84 mm RPG a.k.a. M3 MAAWS, with ADK 401 ammo - 1,100 darts @ 300 meters per second?
Our Peaceniks back here stirred up a row a decade ago over our successful and lucrative export of these mothers...

My grandma had a original set of Lawn Darts with the metal tips. After her death my baby sister acquired them back in the late 80's.

Sorry for your loss. It wasn’t the darts, I hope.

I chuckled way too much at this response.

I am smiling at that response too. No it wasn't a dart from the game but one of the grand-kids was struck by a dart once (thats the reason the manufacture changed the design to plastic tip, too many getting hurt). Grandma did play the game but died of natural causes at a ripe old age.
