Yes it would need limits to travel, so your cant shoot your ride in the head.

Grandfather used to tell a good good WW2 story when he did maintenance work in Borneo region (RAAF).

Didnt have enough machine guns to go around for both sides of fuselage on bombers they were working on. Solution, well cut a hole in the side, with notches so u cant shoot your own wing off. Move the gun from side to side. Damn cutbacks!!!
Guess they wernt pressurised back in the day
