Yet Another Wrench for a Dremel

Marv Klotz inspired me to make my own Dremel wrench. The one that comes with the Dremel is thin and awkward to use. Marv's design is thick and stable. But not willing to leave well enough alone, I came up with my own version that uses aluminum channel.

Some random thoughts on this subject that occurred to me in the shower...

If one buys enough Dremel tools one ends up with a collection of those little skinny wrenches (I have six of them). Glue them together and you have something approximating a usable wrench.

The Dremel collet closer nut takes, surprise, a standard 3/8" wrench. If, like me, you keep a supply of beater wrenches for forming into other tools, check for a 3/8" and cut it down so it has about a 2" handle (the Dremel nut requires little torque) so it fits into smaller tool boxes.
