DESCRIPTION:
Homemade camshaft locking tool adapted from a pair of Vise-Grips and intended to prevent camshaft rotation. Fashioned by means of cutting notches into the jaws of the locking pliers to correspond to the camshaft's tabs.

Obviously the extra time to carve the special grooves is worth it.  Clever approach.

I initially thought this was a heavy-handed way of locking a cam, but the extra work on the jaws makes this a cool tool.
