Hi there - about your bender, have you considered using one of the dies from a hand operated hydraulic pipe bender. Just insert a long handle where the hydraulic cylinder would have gone and bend your pipe manually. If they are big bends, you may have to build a 3 wheel device, the former parts of which would be turned to the same radius as the outside of your pipe. The centre of these 3 rollers is electrically driven and is capable of being offset with respect to the outside ones. This one is moved up and down a slot via a hand wheel/square thread combination, which then pinches on your pipe and bends it to the desired radius without deforming it.
It might take a few passes,though, to get the final size that you require.
I hope that's enough information to get you thinking about it.
