Homemade mobile engine stand constructed from angle iron and a commercial moving dolly.

This stand will keep the engine safe from damage from being knocked around on the shop floor, but to work on the engine you should hold it by the three engine mounting bolt holes on one side only. That way you can split the cases to work on the crank and transmission.
