the geare bushongs that came with my lathe were off set .0045" witch is....009"out total. I bushed them then remachined the bush to the right size.we need some concentrick bushings.they are powered metel and formed off center.so...it's a normal production problem not just my machine having 4 or 5 bad keyed gearbushings.

I found that the gear runout is what causes all the gear noise. the gearbushings are not concentrick...fix that and it's extreamly quiet with the steel gears.
