Homemade tape measure modification intended to increase marking precision. Holes are punched at desired increments to accommodate pencil tips.

I love this!  For anyone who makes the same thing over and over, you could make a jig out of a tape measure. Simply buy several tape measures ('home' brands are cheap enough) and label them accordingly for each task. You couple even paint out a few inches of tape with white paint, prior to each hole and sharpie a description for each hole (what it's for etc). Quicker to make than a wooden jig! Good luck in the contest, you got my vote :-)
