Router Plane
If I count well, this is my 100th tool here ! And hopefully for you the last of the year from me
So I have prepared for the event something special, this is a tool I've been working on for the last three days and I just finished it this afternoon.
It is a router plane.
I have always been attracted by these so smart tools, I knew the commercial ones, and when I discovered here Derek Cohen's version, I thought I had to do one exactly the same.
But actually, I changed my mind and I thought I could design a bit differently, keeping the two round handles we find on the commercial model from Veritas or other high end brands.
But I kept from Derek's version the system to hold the blade.
So here is my version :
(the details can be read in my article on my website :
La Belle Note - Router plane )

With this picture, we understand why Derek calls that tool an "Old Woman's Tooth" :p

So, here it is from me for 2014, I promise to be more quiet next year,
and I want to wish you all, readers and especially the HMT staff a happy happy and peaceful new year !

Christophe,
Congratulations for your century mark for HMT tool publications. Your Router Plane is as much a sculpture as it is a useful tool. I am impressed with your craftsmanship.
