Homemade supplied air respirator based on a Gast 1-1/2hp rotary vane pump. Components include a 3/4" Buna-N hose, a full-face mask, and quick disconnect fittings.

This would be very useful in environments like woodworking and welding. The cost though would depend on the components that you'd be able to find at a reasonable price.
