Back when I was a youth reading adventure books, Damascus steel had some sort of legendary connotation! Seen these in the flesh makes them amazing to look at!

Nice job mike....I have several Japanese chisels and have always marveled at the interesting patterns in the steel....What wood did you use for the handle?
