Killen-Straight armored tractor, a contender for the title of "First Tank". I guess I didn't really know that tanks evolved from tractors, but it makes perfect sense. The treads were chain and hardwood!

Proper definition of a tank is a tracked, armed and armoured fighting vehicle. 1st pic looks more like an armoured reconnaissance vehicle. Other pics seem to portray more an indication of the advantages that tracked vehicles offer over obstacles and rough terrain.
