    1946 hand-built trenching machine - video

Hand-built trenching machine. The machine can dig a trench 8 feet deep and 10 inches wide and, depending on the soil, could advance itself at a rate of 15 to 20 feet per hour. The trencher was restored to working condition in 2003 and is now housed at the Pioneer Acres Museum in Irricana, Alberta.

The Fins are an innovative lot. (I love my Mirca Deros sander). Maybe be, they get inspiration when sitting in a sauna before jumping into glacial cold waters "gee , i think i'll make that......................... if I survive the icy waters" LOL.
