Hi everyone! I am back with another addition to the 2x72 Belt Grinder build. I needed a work rest that would accommodate my contact wheel, my small wheel attachment and my platen. I managed to do all of that with one work rest. Hope you enjoy. Thanks again for supporting my work.

I've watched a number of the knife making video's, why do almost all include a bandsaw with an unguarded blade? I use bandsaws and always drop the guard and blade support wheels as low as practical, being ex-ambo I've seen the mess a bandsaw can make... Is it simply bad/lazy practice?
In my case this is a porta-band saw so it does not have a guard. I think using the guard (provided you have one) is good practice as it provides extra stability for the blade. - Brian

When are you going to start on the surface grinder attachment? lol I was watching some video's on them and I HAVE TO MAKE ONE when my grinder is done!
Not sure if I'll follow any that are on youtube or build my own version but will be a very useful add on.
