A very important item is a power failure lamp. I was once in the shop on a moonless night and the power went off. I went to turn but my foot caught something on the floor. That fall could have been serious, as it is I broke a shelving unit.

These lights aren't expensive and could save you a hospital trip. Several people, after seeing these lights here, have bought them for their homes. Especially for stairs.

Oh I like that! First time happened today with a power outage. I was using the table saw and it flickered several times...didn't go out, scared the crap out of me as the blade sputtered in the wood. But had it gone out, I would have been in a lot of trouble because my shop is...it needs some attention.

I'm going to have to look into this. Thank you so much!

These rectangular ones are pretty nice. Big Clive (youtube channel) and I compared notes on these purchased in different countries. Simple but effective charge circuit, 18650 lithium battery in a socket, and LEDs.

They where in the $5 usd range when Clive and I bought them.

The older ones use NiCd batteries and are on constant overcharge. Test from time to time to make sure they still work.
