Long before the advent of Ikea, the Egyptians built this flatpack boat and carefully stored the pieces in a pit next to Khufu's pyramid in Gaza. The boat pieces are sewn together with rope made of a type of grass.
There is no evidence that it was ever in water. It may have been purely ceremonial, the pharoah using it in the afterlife.
At 140 feet long, it's a masterpiece of woodworking.
