    6 position lathe carriage stop

    Over the last few months I have been working on a number of projects, this one being one of them. This video is of the finished result, but there are links at the end of each clip to the previous steps.

    Attach the indicator to the carriage! Douh! I wish I'd thought of that.

    No problems Ray.
    The CVA has a rather spiffy way of attaching the indicator, but if you don't want to attach a dovetail and don't mind a magnet where the chips fall, one of those 'mighty mag' magnets (with perhaps a hook just to keep a positive engagement) would probably hold the indicator in position just fine.

    For those inspired by this tool (or just wondering how it works), this video may help.
    Set up takes a little time, but at the end of the video I make up a part using the stop and just rip through...
