    They appear to be making them from pieces of huge cut up anchor chain!!!!

    I am most impressed with the whole process and how well they all work together.

    Some things that really caught my eye;

    Steel Toe sandals.

    Surface plate for checking run out and straightness.

    And the precision used to straighten any defective axles.

    I think there may be 3 heats involved. At about 1:40 they switch from straightening the bends to reducing diameter. Cannot be sure but I think they may have reheated before they switched to that work station.

    It is impressive either way.
