Another Lathe Spindle Spider

This little project will help steady long pieces in the lathe.
Simple to make but very useful and adds a bit of safety to longer parts turned on the lathe and helps to keep the gears clean.
Even with the spider on my lathe I limit the stick out to prevent any whipping tendency of long thin parts.
1/4-20 allen head cap screws would be installed if it was being used to hold stock.

Main reason on my mini lathe was to get the chips outside of the gear box. The mini lathe as designed would
drop the chips in the gear box....Not good.

Just used some scrap aluminum and single pointed it for the spindle thread.
