Apron gearbox oil leak repair

Hello everyone,

Exactly 4 years ago I bought this Chinese bench lathe which is 500mm from center to center and it can turn parts up to 250mm in diameter.
From the first months of its use I noticed an oil leak from the apron’s hand crank and concentration of the oil at the bottom of the casting; a relatively easy repair that took me so long to address it...
Besides repairing the leak, I added a sight glass to monitor the oil level in the apron and did a general facelift to the lathe. I hope you enjoy the video.
