Auditing Water Usage
Wasting water in the Sonoran Desert is bad for a number of reasons. Six months ago a $300 water bill alerted me to a slow leak in the back of my property. With the help of an Excel spreadsheet and periodic visits to my city water meter, this rude awakening will not happen again.

During a summer student job working for the local electric utility, I discovered that many people could not read the old style meters - the ones with several small 0-9 dials, each turning in alternating directions.
You may want to include in your description a URL to one of the internet pages describing how to read such a meter or, alternatively, write such a description yourself.

Marv,
My water meter has a simple digital readout (mechanical) so it didn't occur to me that others have the old style. I'll add the reference.
Thanks,
Rick
