Yep, there is a reason hole diggers have a reduction gearbox. The operating speeds for a line trimmer and an auger are different.

I am most impressed that he got that auger mounted like he did when so little run-out at the tip. But there are so many other things wrong with the build.

IF he had enough gear reduction to allow the auger to actually work, the handles are way too close together to provide any leverage against that level of torque. In addition the handles are configured more appropriately for using the auger in a horizontal position.

People are willing to put anything up, just to get clicks.
