As luck would have it the platoon leader yelled out attention about the time he was finishing up. so he runs out of the latrine to stand by his bunk the only thing was he forgot to flush not only that but the smell from the latrine was horrific when the DI opened the door Needless to say we failed the entire inspection since the Di's didn't even bother to inspect the rest of the barracks just ordered us to scrub the whole barracks from ceiling to floor and the Draftee had to scrub the whole latrine by himself with tooth brushes. So much for hoping to get the 1 day on post pass associated with the plaque instead we spent the entire weekend cleaning an already spotless barracks.
Sure could have used one of those automatic gadgets back then.
